My best friend became my husband.

Its hard to believe that 10 years has gone by so fast.
When Symen and I got married we were so in love. We were high school sweethearts that shared so many first together. The world was ours for the taking. I really thought at that point that I could not love this man any more then I did at the moment we said "I do".
Looking back now, I did love that man I said "I do" to, however, we were just kids and had no idea the span love could grow.
Watching him hold our perfect little babies for the first time.
Learning that life is so much more then us.
Helping each other through personal struggles.
Holding to whats important in the ups and downs of life.
These are times when my love grew.
My love for him grows everyday. I love him more today then I did 10 years ago and I know that is 10 years from now, I will love him even more.

Pre-school Graduation.

Last night Garrit had his graduation program. He did great. He really got into his songs and dancing along with his friends. However, when it came time to tell everyone what he wanted to be when he grows up he froze.

When he grows up he wants to be Indiana Jones and a builder.

Good bye Pre-School, Hello Kindergarten.

Here I am almost half way through my pregnancy. My pregnancy has been going great except for the occasional emotional ups and downs. My poor husband. We found out a couple of weeks ago that we are expecting a little boy. I am so excited to have another little guy. I love the ruff and tumble attitude and yet they share their love so freely.
I have been so blessed with a healthy baby that is growing perfectly inside. This baby was not planned, but blessing are not planned, they just come when you need them.

Spring!

We have finally made it to Spring here in Heber. The snow is gone, the grass is green, the sun is out, and it is time to play. I could not help but to take the boys for a picnic at the park. After having lunch and playing for awhile we stopped and got an ice cream cone on the way home.
After our ice cream we continued to play outside at home. The weather was so beautiful I didn't want to spend anytime inside. Well needless to say we all got a little sun kissed our first day of beautiful spring.

Toys in the bath

Garrit: "Hey, Mom. Can I take some legos into the bath with me"

Mom: "Sure, but only a couple"

Emilee: "Mom, Garrit took legos into the bath"

Mom: "I know Em, its ok"

A few minutes later.

Emilee: "Mom, Zane put legos in the bath"

Mom: "its ok, I will be there in a second" (I was folding laundry, I could hear them playing)

If you give the boys an inch they'll take foot.

Garrit turns 5!

Last years birthday was all about Star Wars, this year it was all about Indiana Jones.

For Garrit's birthday I took him and his friend "Big Zane" to Chucky Cheese for lunch. They got to have 100 tokens to spend. They thought they would never run out, then 30 minutes later they were gone. So of course I got them so more. They had a blast playing games and playing in the jungle gym. After lunch, Grandma and Grandpa VanderLinden came up for dinner. We of course made Garrit's favorite, spaghetti and garlic bread. After dinner we had some neighbors come over for cake and gifts. For his birthday he wanted the whip, hat, gun, and bag from Indiana Jones. I have to post a picture of him in it because he is dang cute in it. All in all, Garrit had a great day.
Garrit is such a fun little guy. He loves his family and Jesus. He is my deep thinker and lover. He is always there with a hug and I love you.
Happy Birthday Buddy!

Emilee turns 7!

For Emilee's birthday this year she had a few girlfriends come over to the house and make bracelets. They made bracelets, played games, and had snacks. Its great that she is getting to the point were her friends and her can entertain themselves. They had a great time.

It is hard to believe that Emilee is 7! Where does the time go. She is such a great kid. She gets good grades at school, helps others with there work, and has a hard time not talking.
At home she is in charge. She has no problem telling the boys what they should or should not be doing. She loves to sing and dance. Her imagination is endless. The other day Symen asked Emilee "Who is your best friend" her reply was "I don't have a best friend, everyone is my friend." She is so loving and kind.
Happy Birthday Peanut!
