Cold Crush...

When my mom was a kid in Galesburg, Illinois one of her favorite things was to put soda pop bottles in the snow to get cold. So, on her recent visit she could not pass up the bottles of Crush at Wal-Mart. They sat in the snow for about an hour, then they were ready for drinking.
I have to agree with mom, there is nothing better then a bottle of Crush that has been cooled in the snow. They kids loved it.

I should be doing laundry....

However, the snow was perfect for a snow-family.
The boys and I had a blast playing in the snow and making our family.

3 months

I am growing big and a very happy little guy. I am improving my thumb sucking skills. I can find it a lot faster now, which is nice because it cuts down on the scratches on my face. My new skills are laughing, watching TV and playing with toys. My mom loves to watch me laugh at my sister. I don't understand why, she is a funny girl.
This past month I had my first Christmas, it was good. Mom woke me up out of good sleep, so she could get a picture of all of us in front of the tree. Then I just sat in my swing and had to wait for someone to pick me up. I really like to be held and have someone talking to me. I also, had my first New Years. That was exciting. OK, not really we were all in bed my 10.
Next month I am looking forward to some more new skills. I think I may try rolling over.
Until next month.

The Outfit...

While I was pregnant with Krew, I took the kids shopping for some clothes. While at Kohl's, Garrit found this outfit for Krew that he just had to buy. Unfortunately, it was not in my budget at the time. I explained to Garrit that we would come back and get later. Garrit was heart broken. After checking out, we received $10 to spend at a later date. About 2 weeks later, I loaded up the kids and headed down to Provo, only to find that I forgot my wallet at home. Garrit was so excited to get this outfit, I just knew he would die if we didn't get it, again. Luckily, my Mom had just visited and fill the ashtray of my car full of coins. So, with a fist full of change and our coupon in hand we headed to the check out.
Garrit proud as can be places the outfit on the counter and tells the lady "I am getting this for my new baby brother, his name is Krew" and he hands her his coupon and his stack of change. It was so sweet to watch Garrit be the proud big brother.

Snow bunnies!!

Posted by PicasaWe spent over a week at the cabin, so we were playing in the snow a lot. The driveway for the cabin is perfect for sledding. Dad even made it better by building the track to start up higher next to the cabin. The kids went sledding, snow mobile riding, and made snow angels. Tyson tried to surf down the hill, it wasn't a full success, but it made for a good laugh.

Cousins

Posted by PicasaWe also got to spend the week with Tyson and his family. Emilee really enjoyed having a little girl to play with and Samantha loved to be around Emilee. However, the best of buds were Zane and Samantha. They had so much fun playing together. It was cute to watch them play and enjoy each other. Garrit loved that Uncle Tyson could figure out the new Wii game. It was great to spend some time with them, we usually only see them once or twice a year. I love that my kids have cousins close to their age.

Christmas Day

Posted by PicasaWe had a wonderful Christmas. It all started Christmas Eve. We arrived at the cabin later then we anticipated so things were pretty busy to get ready for the big day. While we were eating dinner, the elves stopped by with a gift. Yep, you got it, jammies. I also got the best gift Christmas Eve, I got to Skype my sister. This was the first time I have been able to talk to her since she has been in Iraq. To my surprise the kids went to bed no problem. They saw on the computer that Santa was in Mexico making his way, so after Emilee read the Night Before Christmas, they ran off to bed.
Per Grandpa's instruction, the kids were not allowed to wake us up before 7 am. At 7 on the dot, we got our wake up call. Emilee received big girl things like clothes, makeup, I-pod, and did I mention clothes. Garrit got a RC car, a nerf gun, and a DS. Zaner favorite thing was cowboy guns that Garrit picked out for him. Krew got a play mat, which he really enjoys. After playing with our new toys and having lunch we went to Park City and saw Alvin and the Chipmunks. It was a very good Christmas. The spirit of Christmas really filled my heart this year and that is what it is all about.

Seeing Santa

While Grandpa and Grandma VanderLinden came to visit, we took the opportunity to go see Santa. Zane was scared of Santa, who could blame him, the mall Santa is always a little scary. Garrit had his list ready. He wanted everything from Legos to a DS. Emilee on the other hand did not know what she wanted. Santa told her if you don't tell me, then on Christmas morning there will be a big box with nothing in it. She finally came up with a couple of things. And Mr. Krew just went with the flow. Like always.
