Our Rockstar!

And we wounder why
the kid has so much
energy. Nothing like a Rockstar to get you going on a Saturday night.
No worries,
the can was empty.

Heber Derby!

We are official locals now that we have attended the Heber Derby. The derby is a big thing here, tickets usually sell out in a day or two. Luckily, this year Grandpa Symen had extra tickets. We got to the derby at 6 thinking it was going to start at 6, however, it did not start till 7. While we were waiting it started to rain on us.

We survived through the rain and the derby finally got going. Man was it fun. Emilee and Garrit had a blast watching the cars crash into each other. They were cheering for their favorite car in each round. Even, Zane loved it. He sat on my lap and did not move during each round. He would cheer along with the other kids.

Symen ended up leaving early to take Garrit and Zane home, however, Emilee wanted to stay and watch the end of the derby and the fireworks at the end. So, the girls stayed till the end even with the threat of rain. Unfortunately, Symen missed the best part, the trucks, the little cars, and the final round. The final round was awesome because the drivers went all out. They were driving for $2,000. We are thinking about entering Symen in next year.

We all had a great time and look forward to doing it again next year.

Where do you sleep....

Any place I can.
I was up stairs doing laundry and I heard Zane throwing a fit, because Emilee and Garrit left. I finished folding the clothes and went to go check on him and found him on the bottom of stair, asleep. (its ok mom, I took the picture and then I put him in his bed.)

Emma and Jake...

came home from AZ with us and stayed for 2 weeks. For those who don't know, Emma 8 and Jake 11 are my sisters kids. The kids loved to ride their bikes and play at the park. They pretty much enjoyed our beautiful weather. Emma and Emilee had a blast playing Barbie, scrapbooking, and playing with friends. Jake made a new friend and enjoyed playing video games with him.

The kids were here over the Salisbury family reunion, so we did a couple fun things while they were here. We hiked the Timpanogs Cave with the Ellsworth's (Symen's Aunt). It was a 3 or 4 mile hike round trip and the kids did great. Garrit got a ride from Marc or Matthew when he got lazy, I carried Zane on my back, and the rest of the kids never complained. Walking through the cave was pretty neat and views were awesome.

The highlight of the hike for Emilee was finding this caterpiller. Can you see it?

Also, while the kids were here we went to Lagoon, which is a little amusement park here in Salt Lake. The kids had a blast. Emma and Jake went on pretty much all the roller coasters, even the upside down ones that make you sick ones. I was pretty impressed with Emma she was doing what ever the big kids did. Emilee did as much as she could, she was to short for some of the rides and my little Garrit was to short for all the rides, however, he did have fun in the little kid area.

The girls played guess my weight game. The lady had to be with in 3 pounds for her to win and on all 3 kids, including Garrit she was 4 pounds off.

Zane did not enjoy the, merry-go-round however, he did enjoy the boats with his big sister.
All in all we had a great day. The kids went on roller coasters, merry-go-rounds, bumper cars, and played games. However, by the end of the day we were all exhausted.

Salisbury Familly Reunion!

I have been planning a family reunion for the Salisbury's (Symen's mom's side). It was the first time that the whole family has been together since 1997 or 1998. The family has grown just little in those years. Grandpa and Grandma have 5 kids, 16 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren. We all met up at the cabin on the 4th of July. We had a BBQ, spent time together, and went to the Oakley Rodeo. We had a great time just talking and getting to know all the new kids in the family.

Here is Symen

with all of his cousins.

Here is my attempt to get a picture of all 12 great-grandchildren.

Happy Birthday Samantha!

While in Arizona we went to Samantha's 1st birthday party. Samantha came into this world with lots love and a sweet spirit about her. She has brought sunshine and love into her family and ours. She is a sweet girl and I am excitedt to watch her grow even more. Happy Birthday Samantha, We love you.

Arizona..

The kids and I went to visit our family down in Arizona a few weeks ago.

We went bowling with Janette, Emma, and Jake. Aunt Janette gave the kids bowling lessons. This was Emilee and Garrit's first time bowling and they had a blast.

We also, went to the Tempe water park with are good friends The Ray's. We went in the evening so it was nice weather and not very many people there. We had a great time just hanging out with our family, swimming, and just relaxing.
